The Narcissus Festival
The scent that enchants Abruzzo
Since the times of Ovid's myth, the inebriating scent of the white flower announcing the arrival of spring has echoed through fields and meadows. In Rocca di Mezzo, between the end of May and the beginning of June, the sweetness of the narcissus is celebrated, welcoming the renewal and the awakening it brings.
The narcissus covers the village, growing wild on the surrounding meadows and hillsides. In its honour, locals create decorated floats that parade through the streets, charming visitors. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the unmistakable scent of the white narcissus.
