Every year, in early March, thousands of high school students from Abruzzo and Marche visit the sanctuary to mark the “100 days” before their final exams – a cherished tradition for seeking blessings and inspiration for the future.

The Santuario di San Gabriele is not just a place of devotion; it is also a treasure of art and culture. The original basilica exudes peace and sacred calm, while the new basilica, inaugurated in 1985, is a stunning example of contemporary architecture, accommodating up to 12,000 people. The Museum of Contemporary Sacred Art holds a remarkable collection, including the Fieschi Collection and extensive documentation on modern sacred art.
